Since 2006, Brevard Music Aid (a 501c Not For Profit) has played a major role in assisting local professional musicians in times of crisis. Completely funded by donations, the Brevard Music Aid ideal came to life out of the offices of local magazine, Brevard Live.
For 35 years, The Joe Realino Memorial Fund has assisted Space Coast bartenders, servers and musicians who are unable to work because of illness or accident. Our annual "Party with a Purpose" helps us raise money for the fund.

The Space Coast Flute Orchestra, under the direction of Nancy C. Clew, is 40 members strong, and is the largest flute orchestra, that meets on a regular basis, in the United States. It is comprised of piccolos, C flutes, alto flutes, bass flutes and the unusual contrabass flute. Concerts are given on a regular basis and admission is free.

The 33 RD annual Melbourne Oktoberfest returns to Wickham Park Pavilion with a “Taste of Germany” from Thursday, October 14 through Sunday, October 17, 2010. The Oktoberfest is the longest running festival in the Space Coast area and features a great selection of German foods, beverages and exciting State Fair rides for the entire family. It’s located adjacent to the Brevard Community College (BCC) on Wickham Road in Melbourne and has plenty of free parking. We open at 5 PM on Thursday or Friday and 12 noon on Saturday or Sunday.
The "Sam Jam" was created to help Brevard musicians and music professionals. Each year the "Sam Jam" is held to benefit Brevard Music Aid a non-profit fund dedicated to this cause. This event is a memorial to the legacy of Samuel D. Gorman. Sammy was a large part of the local music scene, and if someone needed help, he found a way to give it. His legacy continues.
