The JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes is one of the premiere charitable walk events in Brevard County and one of the largest events at Lori Wilson Park. Walk Day was filled with activities for the children, including bounce houses, face painting, arts and crafts and clowns. Melbourne Oktoberfest
The 32nd annual Melbourne Oktoberfest returns to Wickham Park Pavilion with a “Taste of Germany” from Thursday, October 15 through Sunday, October 18, 2009. The Oktoberfest is the longest running festival in the Space Coast area and features a great selection of German foods, beverages and exciting State Fair rides for the entire family. It’s located adjacent to the Brevard Community College (BCC) on Wickham Road in Melbourne and has plenty of free parking. We open at 5 PM on Thursday or Friday and 12 noon on Saturday or Sunday.

The Space Coast Flute Orchestra
The Space Coast Flute Orchestra, under the direction of Nancy C. Clew, is 40 members strong, and is the largest flute orchestra, that meets on a regular basis, in the United States. It is comprised of piccolos, C flutes, alto flutes, bass flutes and the unusual contrabass flute. Concerts are given on a regular basis and admission is free.
